Wanting to get my first foxpro call. I have looked at the inferno, patriot, and a refurbished firestorm. Which one would be best for a beginner? Does the patriot have foxbang technology? If not, is foxbang really critical?
 
IMHO, just as important as a caller is a decoy. Even a $20 mojo critter is good. It's a question of budget, I would get everything you can afford. I think I would go with a new product, unless you know where a used one has been. Most manufactures will happily fix a new product but not second owner. Just something to look at.
 
Being on a limited budget those are really the only 3 I have looked at. The firestorm is a unit refurbished by foxpro with a 1 year warrany. I know it was an older model but I didnt know how it compared to the inferno or patriot. Glad to hear that the patriot has foxbang. I have looked for reviews but I could never confirm whether it did or did not have it.

yes they did. and some of the other models did also.

the inferno has good remote range.

a question for the folks at foxpro. as far as range and reliability of the remote, does the patriot caller work as good as the inferno? thanks.
