First Hog Kill with an IR Hunter Thermal Scope

I took the new IR Hunter thermal weapon sight out last weekend to put it through the paces and was successful taking a pig on the run at over 150 yards. Despite a few firmware issues we noticed in the beginning of June, the scope performed very well. IRD has informed us that the firmware POI issue has been fixed, and was attributed to calculating POI on a 640x480 screen instead of a 800x600 screen. Easy fix, and once the firmware is updated I will post an update with a more detailed review here.

I've been keeping a eye on these IR hunters scopes looking forward to hear the POI firmware issue has be fixed.I would like to see a close side by side picture of these and say a THOR and RS-series scope for size reference. Looking at the IR hunter pics online sometimes they look very compact and other times bigger than other models.
 
crowminator on youtube has some great and recent videos. I am watching the IR hunter closely and waiting for flir to respond. Know more at the end of shotshow.
 
Just a note, this thread was started for the IR Hunter MK1 and Crowminator is using the MK2 which is a completely different unit, specs and tech wise.
