Flambeau decoy

Has anyone ever used the Flambeau master series lone howler decoy? I looked at one, just wanted to see what you guys thought about them or if anyone has had luck using them.

Look for yourself. This is in Arizona. Under the correct conditions these decoys defiantly get results. Rich, Tyler, and I, over the last year have called in several coyotes and had them come in close to check out the decoy. Luckily for them, we just had cameras.

These others are too large for PredatorMasters so click on them to view.

anvil,While I am not nearly as handy with a camera as Scott,I can assure you they work. They can add a new dimension of fun to your set up.Let me add here,be extremely careful where you place the decoy in conjunction to roads or trails as others may in fact believe it to be real and take shots.Pay particular attention to where you sit so as not to be near enough to catch some lead.I know this probably sounds silly but many guys will shoot without checking.I enjoy mine and highly recommend it for certain situations.

We have had some great success using the Lone Howler Decoy. We have mainly used it in two different scenarios both with it standing.....the decoys also give the option to be sitting as well - which we have not used:
1. With the decoy 10-20 yards from the caller (Stalking the distress)
2. With the decoy right on top of the caller, along with the Mojo Critter - Caught rabbit (as you see in the pictures posted by Scott of Minaska).

Both scenarios have produced and had excellent results of keeping the attention directed at the decoy and not at us. Sometimes it gives you just enough of an edge to get those stubborn coyotes within range.

**We have yet to have a "road hunter" shoot at the decoy but I would at least suggest keeping it out of your line of sight with the road. From any distance, it looks as real as you could imagine.**

Best of Luck,

Richie

Scott, those are some great pictures. Seeing those I want one now. I've been out today to two places in search of a MOJO woodpecker and can't find one. Guess I'll have to order it. The places had the other MOJO products. Sorry to get off topic but I want a coyote decoy.

That decoy actually looks better than those slick coated Arizona coyotes.

Of course no offense meant to you Arizona hunters. You can't help it that most all of your coyotes are ugly short haired beasts. Our mangy coyotes look better than your healthy ones. But the sheer numbers of coyotes in AZ does somewhat make up for the hideous looking creatures.

Uh Huh! That's true! As a Colorado boy myself, I felt kind of weird shooting these desert dogs that are unlike the cold weather dogs of home. But ugly or not, it is still a blast! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Hypermrx that coyote in the second pic looks like it is using alien x-ray eyes to check out your decoy. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
