I have had the privilage of hunting over many ecallers..

i purchased a echo for 119 dollars...

The caller has WT calls on it which i never heard until i purchased it they are very alive distress sounding calls..
some of the best I've heard...
There are 110 calls that will pretty much cover all predators in the USA...Without having to purchase expensive sounds..on cd...etc...

There are enough calls in each category that there's no need to longer install calls..i can go back to setups and use a different sound and not have to worry about being busted...

The caller has a lighted display which has controls and can be operated with or without the remote.
The sounds are all categorized and are easy and fast to locate and change...

The remote..the remote has a proven distance of 250+ yards..which works well in the East...it will work if the call is in knee high..grass or weeds...which requires a predator to believe there is a actual animal in those weeds so it needs to come into the open to inspect...which helps seeing them...and longer time for a shot...which has worked for myself and 2 friends...

The remote battery the battery is the same as a cell phone...it is reliable in all weather..the remote charges in the caller..no need to buy 9v batteries any longer...
a spare is 8 dollars and less..if you shop..
I have a spare but have yet to use it...no need..in a night of calling. Recharging when completely dead does take just a few hours..4..for the complete machine plus remote...
If you have to use 5...average 9v batteries a month for 4 dollars each...in 1..year you would save enough to buy 2 more Echos new. 240 dollars..in savings..
The remote has large well lite letters...all sounds are categorized and can be changed in a snap..

The internal caller batteries and charger.. The internal call batteries and charger..come with the caller..
That is a savings of at least 25 dollars..if you had to buy rechargeable batteries and a charger...and a very large savings if you buy throw a ways for a year....

The lanyardI do not recommend the lanyard..or carry strap..it is cheesy in my opinion...i made my own with a good sized camo rope with hangman knots on each end so it is adjustable...

The sound system The echo comes with 2 speakers that can be controlled by the remote or the caller itself...
It has plenty of volume for 25mph winds and under...
It has multiple sound settings...10 or 12....
The nice thing is the sounds themselves on the caller go up and down in volume to sound like real distress..which saves hand movement and battery life..as the caller and remote can go into sleep mode...until changing sounds etc.

I have had very good results and the predators come to this caller...i have used it mostly in high pressure called areas near roads etc..as i cannot get to far off the beatin path do to a muscle disease...but these fields and woodlots are called a lot from out of the area callers who pull over at night and call from the road...

These opinions are based on field use...

You won't be sorry for trying a echo..even as a backup caller for the price it is hard to beat...

Thanks

Thanks happy, I'm gonna have one before next year. My MA21 is a great call with plenty of volume and quality sounds. But for the price, with that many calls on it, I will have an Echo for something different. I really want to try the coon sounds on it.

the crows sounds are even great i had them swooping everywhere...this morning...i had another bobcat right at it using the pygmy cottontail...and have called numerous PA bobs with it...

i like it a lot and it had by far enough volume for the crows i didnt need a external speaker...they came a long way..

it is a well built and designed caller...imo

I have had mine for a couple of months now and I realy like it.
The sounds are good and the range on the remote is amazing. I use the pygmy cottontail, squirl distress, vole mouse and red wing black bird for most of my calling.

The only thing I have against it is the carry strap and the lack of a yellowhammer wood pecker distress call.

Todd... killed anything with it yet...?

I tried the pygmy cottontail this evening... boy... it sounds good...

there are alot of good sounds on it... hard to pick sometimes...

I have a foxpro but might just get one of these to try out and keep in the truck!! There are alot of good things being said!! I have been intrigued by the WT sounds, if that is what is definitely on the flextone, i want to try them!! I wish i could find a place to hear the WT sounds

tellin ya like it is...the powerdogg works good on coyotes here...the remotes just never seem to work well..but the sounds do...

i havent used a call in that price range come close to it...

like i said it the first time i heard those sounds...

there all good...and sound real...the goose ones could be a little better but work...but the predator sounds are the bomb...

Everything i have seen abou the the flextone has been 100+ sounds!! Its almost getting to the point that if it was a little more versatile ( external speaker jack and ability to add mp3 sounds) it would be a no brainer !! I have had 3 FP's- fx3,fury and cs -24 will be here thursday, but i am ever so tempted to buy this call !! It kinda sucks though becausse i think it has deer ,turkey and alot of big game sounds which i believe will make it illegal to use if they are not allowed to be called with electronics??

its got 100...typo..but 95 are better than ive heard on a lot of ecallers...and i see no need to have to change calls...it doesnt have 50 rabbit sounds but 5 or 6 on it are awfully good...

its all in the sounds....

I was suprised to see all the negative reviews for the flextone on the Cabelas website. Seems as if many buyers are having serious battery charging issues with the one's they have. Out of a possible max score of 5, most rated the flextone in the 1, 2 or 3 range. I think there were only a few that gave them high marks. I've never tried one, so I don't first hand experience with them and aren't qualified to give an opinion. However, I'll stick with my spitfire and hand calls.

lol..most are not pushing the plug in i did the same thing the first 2 times..it goes way down in...its tight around the rubber washer on the machine...feels like its in but ya gotta push it in...good...before i would buy one if i were you i would hunt with someone who has one then compare your caller against the echo...thats what i would do...

different strokes for different folks......

I have called in quite a few animals with it, but I havent been able to close the deal on most of them. I have killed 3 fox. I have called up 2 bob cats and at least 4 yotes. The cats were in tall grass and I only saw ears. The yotes were all my fault. I let them get the wind on me when I saw them they were leaving fast at 200 yards. I shot twice and I shouldnt have.
I have an older Fox Pro that has 24 sounds on it and it works great, but for $130.00 you cant beat this Eco1.

I don't know how much attention I would pay to the negative reviews... I'm convinced that the majority of the people who speak up about anything are the disgruntle and there are several happy customers for every one of them... That may not be the case but it is a pretty good possibility.

Can you add / remove sounds on this call? If so what format does it use?
