Flextone Echo Review and Questions

I don't want to pop anyone's bubble who owns a Flextone...but....I'm sorry to say they are junk for the most part with a lousy reputation for repair service. Why would someone invest in a fine predator rifle with a first class scope, purchase quality camo clothing and all of the items that go with predator hunting and then cheap out on an e-caller?? Doesn't make sense. In the world of e-callers you get what you pay for. I own a FoxPro Fury with FoxBang and it is a flawless unit...its MADE IN AMERICA...FoxPro's warranty and repair service is absolutely first class and their staff and production facilities are manned with 84 AMERICAN FAMILIES. Think about it.

I wouldn't say they are junk by any means. I own an echo, wildfire 2, & hellfire. The volume on the hellfire blows both of them away, with the wildfire just slightly louder than the echo. The remote on the echo blows both foxpro out of the water as far as distance it will work from the unit. The one thing I've learned over the years is coyotes hear unbelievably well & the echo is plenty loud to call critters. The one thing I love on my echo is the the remote shows pause/play in the corner so you know the unit received the transmission. The foxpro don't have this feature and their distance is so poor that sometimes you can't believe the unit isn't getting the transmission. I've definitely called in more critters with the wildlife tech sounds versus the foxpro sounds. I do like foxpros coyote sounds better and the echoes distress sounds better. During the breeding I use the foxpro more. If I'm combination calling or rabbit equalling I always use the echo.

Never had any issues with mine. I trusted it more than I did my hellfire, the hellfires remote range was terrible. I think that for the money it's a great call. I could set mine 80 yards away and out of sight and it never failed me. To me, if you're not going to get a foxpro crossfire or one of the higher calls, you might as well get the echo or a primos alpha dogg

I went through 3 ER1s when they started to hit the market.
I returned all 3 due to speaker issues. They did perform to 400 yards as long as I was clear and above them, that was a test though.
I liked the sounds, but the remote screen s**cked bad IMO.
I got scratchy speaker sounds on all of them.
I went FoxPro and have not looked back.
