Flextone ER1

Ya I have noticed that. Nothing against foxpro as I would love to be able to afford one but you wont see me having wet dreams about them like 223 encore does

Stop guys he just didn't read the entire thread!!

I was looking at a spitfire because of the price but this thing has 4 times the sounds and to be honest I wasn't all to thrilled with the spitfire my buddy brought out this last weekend!

The thing I kinda worry about is scrolling through all the sounds to get to the sound you want? I may have to go to Cabelas and see if I can play with one. I don't know the weight of the spitfire but I sure it's lighter also.

price = eR1
sounds = eR1
looks = Spitfire
warranty = eR1
SD card = Spitfire
weight = Spitfire ?? /eR1 3lbs.
easy of charging = eR1
ext hook ups = Spitfire
range estm. = eR1
customer service = Foxpro is proven / eR1 ????
value = eR1 comes with rechargeable batts. and has a lanyard! Small...yes but still adds to the cost of caller.

I don't know guys it's a tuff call we will have to see what more people say about it. I may just grab the eR1 and if I don't like it just return it and grab a spitfire!

Well unless anyone is willing to send me one to try out and do a review/compare

how does the sound quality compare to the spitfire? Should I be trading up for the er1? Lot of sounds but I wish it had some rodent sounds. Thats my go to fox sounds along with phaesant.

I sincerely apologize to everyone, especially the manufacturer, I completely missed the screen. I don't know how I managed to not see what was directly in font of me.

No, I do not dream of my FX5 PimC. If you could afford a Foxpro you'd know.

I would really like to hear some comparisons between the volume of this one and the Spitfire. I am trying to decide which one to get as my first caller.

I just ordered one from you Mark. I have previously owned a FoxPro Fury, FX3, Scorpion, and Spitfire, so I will post on clarity, ease of use, etc. of this one when it shows up.

I just got this review/message from an Echo eR1 buyer in Des Moines:

Comment: "just tried my eR1by flextone out this morning, first stand called two coyotes to me. just took one , the other made it to cover this time before i could shoot."

He also wants to know about a backup battery for the remote control - I'm calling manufacturer to see what the exact match-up for that flat Li-ion battery is. I'm also going to run over the WalMart and see if they have one in the camera section.

I'll get back in a few with that info.

As always, thank you all for you business,

Mark Healy

Okay...

I believe I have the Echo eR1 remote battery thing figured out. The manufacturer gave me general specs. I've got one ordered that claims to the fit the specs. I should have it Tuesday or Wednesday. I shall verify it's right and report back.

I had a quick question Mark when charging can i just plug it in and forget it for ten hours or so or do i need to turn it on and leave it on sleep mode? I plugged min in and it wont go to full battery power on the gauge but the remote says it is full. but the unit id abut 3/4 charged wodering if i need to get some good/better batteries?

Dan,

I'm running a few tests on the battery charging feature. This is what I've seen so far. You can plug it in a leave it plugged in. On my Echo I noticed the batteries would show as charging until they were full and then it would just show it as being fully charged. It appears that the charger has a shut off or trickle feature, as the batteries when fully charged and still plugged in are not warm or hot to the touch, but had gotten warm during the charging process.

Longevity of a full charge is still in question. The Chi-Com inexpensive batteries the Echo comes with might not hold a charge worth a darn. I'll see how long it will run with the batteries that came with it and compare that to 8 brand new Energizer batteries I bought last evening. From a manufacturing cost control standpoint I'm betting the included batteries aren't that great. We shall see and I'll let you know.

baddog,

Since you're in Colorado there's no tax.

Shipped to you is $143.83 - Here is the link to the product page: Flextone Predator Calls

We offer free ground shipping at an order level of $149 and up, so we're getting orders for the Flextone and a Mojo decoy, or a Wildlife Tech DVD that gets the order over the free-ship hill and the shipping $$ gets spent on a useful product. For example, you can add a Mojo Woodpecker for less than $9 to the order.

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to shoot me an email or a call.

Best regards,

Mark Healy

BruceB,
I've heard of the place before and have ordered from them in the past. They were good to deal with and had quick shipping. LionCaller said above that he'll match prices so you could help support a PM member and get it through him at the cheaper price.
