Flippin' Bushnell.................

My history with Bushnell has been hit or miss. I had several of the Sportview 3x-9x-32mm scopes from the late 80's through the mid-90's. I still have one on my Knight Wolverine and one on my Marlin 60. The Wolverine still stacks bullets up and the bottom of the tube is charred from the years of use. I sighted the gun in with that scope in 1996 with the cheesy see through rings and my Mom is still using the combo to this day. Turret caps have only been off of it once and that was initial sight in.

I also have a 4x-12x-40AO sitting at home that needs to go back since it won't focus. I ran it on a .22LR for a while, then on my AR for a while. One day it just quit focusing. Maybe the magic blue smoke is gone and I need to have Doggin' refill it

. It is a shame, I actually ran it out to about 300yds before that on my AR.

I too am over the cheap scope phase. I have had failures from Tasco x2, BSA x2, Pentax x2, Swift x3, T/C x1, and Bushnell x1. Nikon Prostaffs are becoming my new minimums as of late, although I am considering trying a Mueller for a rimfire project

I tried my best to find something as good as Leupold as I felt that I owned to many of that make. In the end I still bought Leupold. This thread makes me glad I did.

There are 2 brands of scopes in my safe, Leupold and Weaver. The Weavers, both target models have held up very well. The Leupolds just keep going, my first is 34 years old.

She probably has kids and is used to talking to them that way. Come on, she's stuck there all day listing to all kind of BS.

That sign is in the repair shop comes to mind;

"Labor $50/hr

$75/hr if you watch

$100/hr if you worked on it first"

So now you have gotten rid of your last cheap scope, too bad the glass is good in those old ones.
