The ABSOULTE Best news I heard is the past 2 weeks is Ace (K9) wounded recovered lost 1 leg of the Polk County Sheriff's Department went home today with his handler. The daughter was amazed that I actually teared up watching this.
Why some will ask did I follow this well I'm actually not a native Arkansan, rather I was born one county over from Polk and bordering Lake county in Hillsborough yeah little ole Plant City @Bowhntr6pt should actually be surprised by that omission on my part. There is much to that as well that I'll probably save for a long trip to Montana ....

So yes when I heard of Ace being wounded I pretty much stayed on it and was rooting for him

I too was moved by this news... I was an Operations Lt. for a couple years and while never a K9 handler, I did oversee some of the Administrative aspects of the K9 program.

Yes... K9's are tools... but some of these handlers get extremely attached to their K9 partners, I can't blame them, some of these dogs are extremely loyal, smart, and just damn fun to have around. Some of them are flat out goof balls until it's time to be all business.
