For the life of me why don’t a firearm manufacture make and sale a Drilling gun like 100 years ago ?
I have spent a lot of time hunting both upland birds and coyotes and it never fails , when out bird hunting I see a coyote 100 yards away and all I have is shotgun. When I am coyote hunting I jump up pheasant and quail left and right and never see a coyote all day.
I had a IZH-94 223 /12 ga that did a good job but wanted a gun with 2 shotgun barrels.
I think a shooter could put a nice red dot on it and be good to go to 300 yards on rifle and shoot a bunch of birds with one , coyotes deer etc. How I would sale it would be advertise the Drilling to the hunter that only had a few weekends to hunt. Now a days with every one working hard to get away and I think it would be great to hunt with a multiple use weapon out in field. Hunters just don’t get as much time to hunt so why not have a gun that could do it all in the few weekends a guy has to hunt ? If I had some money to invest I think this would be a good firearm to bring to market. I sure would buy one in a 12ga double barrel and a 6.5 creedmoor in middle in 24 inch barrels . Heck make it in 3 1/2 chamber and you could waterfoul Hunt with it too. If MFG could make it to shoot moa Even if it cost $1500.00 or $2000.00 I would buy one. I don’t see why you would even need any other type of gun in your safe. Am I all wet on this thinking ? What say you guys...,thanks. Marty

AWS uses them quite effectively. His are not new manufacture, but if he found them, I'm sure you could too.

They are still made (in Europe, at a cost), but never really caught on in 'merica...we tend to specialize in things....guns shoot one pellet or many , but not both.....trucks haul plenty of stuff, cars get good fuel mileage but not both.......dogs either point or retrieve but not both......its the only thing I admire in Europe anymore I think. I have some combo 2 bbl guns, but no true drillings yet. AWS is my hero on this - I'll find one that suits when the checkbook is fat enough one of these days. I agree with you.

I think technogly is there now to get all 3 barrels to shoot great. I think the gun would sale itself if the rifle barrel would shoot moa. For me i think it would be a no brainer for hunting. I would buy one and sale a bunch of guns I shoot once every 6 years. Like Harry Potterfield of Midway USA commercial says “ how many guns does one man need “ ?......
With new hunters going into the sport and working 60 hrs a week to make a living and maybe 4 weekends a year why not have a gun that can put game on the table or the wall everybtime you go into the feild.
I Wish I had a bunch of money I would bring one to market. Marty

Too expensive to manufacture new and the market would be too low to tool up and get into production.

Can't remember the company off hand but they sell a 3 barrel shotgun. Not cheap though.

Chiappa sells them.

Beats the he11 out of me but we sold a few through the store.

Yep I have seen them. Are local gunnstore in Iowa has sold a couple of those 3 barrel shotguns. I would rather have the
2 shotgun barrels in 3 1/2 inch and a 6.5 creedmoor or a 243 rifle barrel in it. Like I said it would sale itself. Marty
