Iād have to look and see what my composite snow shoes are. Size wise I mean. They arenāt super good for light fluff but, they are better than the alternative. They are pretty loud on crunch stuff. I bail on them a few hundred yards from where Iām going to call from.
What have been really good are some 11āx54ā(might be 60ā) Ojibwe snow shoes. Theyāre freaking long but, really good floatation. If youāre dealing with any amount of underbrush, I donāt care for them but for straight line marching in deep, open type stuff, theyāre nothing short of excellent. And much more quiet than my composites.
