Video was a bit shaky @ 1:33 but I believe that's when he placed the empty case in the action as an open bolt indicator for benefit of other shooters and range officer.

I have fired those rifles... It's not doing that as an indicator.. It's a jam.. It's the down side of that weapon. People do use that as an indicator, however in that particular weapon, the barrel's get warped if you use anything other than Barrett ammo. Standard Military ammo creates to much pressure and creates waves in the barrel, which causes the weapon to stovepipe.
Trust me, you don't grab that brass and stick that in there. The springs involved will dent the casing, and not to mention how hot they are after coming out.
