Since there is no Lapua 6.5x47 brass available, I thought that I would form some from new Rem 22/250 brass.
Forming came out perfect with 9.0g of bullseye with corn meal on top and blue paper towel for a bullet.
I had no bushings for the Redding S dies, so I just did some research on what folks were shooting, threw the recommended load, let a 120g Nosler ballistick tip sit right on top of the powder charge(no neck tension what so ever) and shot for group.
I tilted the muzzle up, inserted the bullet, and chambered the round before the bullet and powder fell out of the case.
I shot groups in the .375 area with no variation in powder charge, I was just trying to fully form the sharp edges on the shoulder.
Good news, Redding busings came today, I am off to the range tomorrow...stay tuned
