They may have been just bad batteries or charger.....or maybe just junk.. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif......You may want to try a new set to find out...... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused1.gif........

Ironworker, I've been using SANYO Ni-MH 2500 and they have been great for me. I got them at Costco. If my memory serves me right you get 6 AA batteries and 2 AAA it also has a very good wall charger that comes with the batteries.
All of it for less than $22.00

its probaly (very very probably) the charger. just "trust me", lol... no way a 15 minute charger will properly charge the NiMh batteries. even the "best" of fast chargers for NiMh and NiCad take at least 45 minutes to an hour, and still be within the general guidelines for battery charge rates.

what is the Ah rating of your NiMh batteries ?

The largest mAh rated AA battery that Radio Shack carries that I know of is 2000. Walmart and K-Mart carry 2500 mAh double A batteries and they are a lot cheaper than Radio Shack. The larger the mAh rating the longer the charge will last.

This forum is the greatest!!!!! Just got off the telephone with Radio Shack. They're going to take them back Charger and batteries.I'm going to Walmart.Don't have a costco card. This is what happens when I get in a hurry. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Glad we could help.
I bought a spare battery holder from Radio Shack (about $2.00) and 8 Kodak 2500 mAh batteries from Walmart. It gives me a charged back up for my FX3. Course, so far I haven't had to use it. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Hey K22 how long do your batteries last in your FX3? I was thinking about getting the charging unit that FoxPro offers but if I can get some locally that work just as good I would do that. We went through a set of standard energizers yesterday in about 10hours of calling with 1 speaker on.
