Foxbang Questions

I have a Foxpro CS24 with the Foxbang upgrade. What sound do most people use for the Foxbang sound when calling coyotes?

Next, will the Foxbang play the sound you have set as Preset 1? Is that correct?

Finally, what is an easy way to test the Foxbang at home without shooting a gun?

Thanks
Thomas

I use coyote distress for it. Yes, it is preset #1. Bang a couple of books or wood together near the remote, that should set it off.

Loud (V35) canine or coyote pup distress, It'll hold em or stop them. I also use it with the preset button to hold em up if we've been busted. It works most of the time.

I got to use mine this monday got my second double because of it. I had a pair come from a 1/4 mile out I muted the call when they get to a 100 yards the male stopped and I shot him the female took off with afterburners kicked in until the coyote distress sound that started automatically while I was busy getting another round in the chamber and getting on her she came running straight back to her fallen boyfriend and I shot her. Its one of the best features next to a remote call.

Bigtime, the kiyi is a loud coyote in distress call. Lots of hunters make the call on an open reed call using the section of the reed out near the tip. As for Foxbang, different hunters use different sounds. I like the Coyote Death Cry; others like the Coyote Pup Distress

C22 "Coyote Pup Screams" is the sound I use for Foxbang and my number 1 presets. To me it seems to be louder and higher pitched. It works great for stopping coyotes.

C27 "Coyote Pup Distress 3" works great for calling coyotes in to the caller. But it does not sound as loud or as screamy as "Coyote Pup Screams".

i have mine set on pup distress. just make sure it's not set on 2 sensitive for your surroundings or something other than gunshot could set it off. when i first set mine up, a whipporwhil set mine off 1 night

I have mine set for pup distress. I know what you are talking about Chevyman, the first ime I took mine out, I had it set too sensitive. The remote slid off my lap and activated the Foxbang. I have had it work great twice. I wonder how Foxpro comes up with these things. I am a walking Foxpro testimonial, won't buy anything else.
