Foxpro batteries...dead

I purchased a set of 8 batteries with charger. I have used them about 5 times. Proper charge and discharge and all of a sudden they wont take a charge anymore. I charged them for 6 hours and no juice at all. I thought it might be the unit itself but it worked fine with another set.
Any suggestions other then throwing them out and buying a decent battery...I'm frustrated as it was over $50 Canadian for these things.
Any suggestions on a good battery charger combo? I'm thinking Eneloops??

Cheers!!

WE hunt about as hard as anyone you can find, and we have had no negative issues with the FoxPro batteries. Evidently, you have had an issue. I'd contact FoxPro and explain your problem.

If you want a quicker response, call them. Everyone expects instant results from sending an email. I am sure they get a lot of them. They are very good to deal with.

What kind of charger are you using to charge them? I use older Eneloops (were on sale at CostCo several years ago), haven't had a problem with them. Using a MAHA charger.

I use the Maha chargers with good results. I have the one with four slots(Model MH-C204W) and one with 8 slots (Model MH-C801D). I have two of the units with four slots.

I have a lot of different types of AA NiMH batteries. Some Ever Ready's and some Duracell PreCharged AA. I've got several groups of 8 of the Duracells four to six groups of 8 EverReady's.

The EverReady's have to be charged every month or reconditioned. The Duracells are suppose to be able to stay charged for a year but they don't last that long. I'm always have to recharge or recondition them. It takes many hours to charge them up at a slow rate and then discharge them and recharge them back up again to condition them properly. That's usually an over night job if I don't sstart the process early in the morning. So it takes me several days to recondition and recharge all my AA batteries. I have some of the AAA batteries that have to go though this process and it gets to be a pain. I've had these batteries for several years now.

Today I got the FX3 out and tried to use it and nothing worked. I went though all 8 of the AA batteries in it (duracells) and found two that were dead. The other six had a good charge. So I stuck the two in one of my four bay Mahas and charged them back up. They would not take a charge in the 8 cell Maha. I took those two out and put two others in with the other six to make sure that all 8 batteries that I put back into my FX3 FoxPro E Caller were working properly.

It works ok inside the house after that.

The EverReady Batteries vary in capacity from 1880 up to 2300 mAh. The Duracells are rated at about 2000 mAh.
