Foxpro firestorm rechargeable batteries

Just plugged my caller in the first time this year and let charge a few hours. Came home and unplugged and it wont turn on. The green light is on when plugged in. This is probably the 4th year ive had the caller. Good chance i need new battery pack or is maybe something wrong with the caller?

easy enough to find out. put brand new batteries in it. even if they are new alkaline batteries. will tell you real fast if it is the batteries.
 
i called foxpro when mine did that a few wks. ago. They told me it was probably a problem with the chgr. receptacle & to take a tool (I used a strong pin) then gently move the "spring tab" on the side of this receptacle. It fixed it> this tab is on the inside of the receptacle.
 
Ok well i put new batteries in and no luck but when i push that "spring tab" in the charge light also comes on until i stop.
 
I also did notice that the batteries i pulled out were really warm... new ones are charging as we speak so hopefully in a few hours it will turn on.
 
Nvm i turned the switch on and off a few times and then it finally came on and has worked flawlessy since. Thanks for the input.
