foxpro fury question

I picked up a fury 2 last weekend. It has the tx505, and has the erratic scrolling knob. I don't know any better, so it doesn't bother me and I don't know if it will.

The rubber cover not staying put on the charger jack is probably more of an annoyance for me. However, that is probably more because of the sticker price in conjunction with something not being perfect more than it really being an issue.

At the end of the day, I'll either ignore or troubleshoot. I've consistently seen posts referring to great customer service from foxpro on this site, and I'm confident that if I bring complaints to their attention my concerns will be addressed. (Off topic, but for those of you who reload on a blue press, the fervency about customer service seems very similar to that towards Dillon presses. The coincidence of the Mike Dillon name is entertaining as well.)

I'm actually surprised they hinged them from the bottom up, but maybe there is a reason I'm not aware of since this call hasn't made it past annoying cats in the barn yet.

Anyway, I'm happy with my purchase; and if any of the small things that are anomalies to my caller start to bug me as I get used to it, I know how to take care of them.

I'd also like to iterate the question coyoteclyde asked coyote6974 about the knob going one click at a time. Do you like it better than the erratic knob which, in this thread, seems to be more the norm?

You can adjust the rubber cover and it should be fine.

I do like the new one click at a time knob better.

FoxPro does have good service if you should need it.

Welcome to PM.

I had the same thing on my new Fury2. I previously owned a Firestorm and I didn't have any problems with the rubber covers. I called Foxpro, and as usual, they took care of it right away. They mailed me 2 new covers.
Give them a call if you're not happy with the plugs.

I have an old FoxPro 416B. Its got three ports, with no covers. It never been a problem! There only electrical connection. They aren't holes into the guts of the call.

Just sent my remote back to FoxPro last Monday, they got it Wednesday and it was back in my hands by Friday. Now I am here in PA so shipping wasn't far, but they had to fix it that day for Wednesday and ship it right away. Great service.

Followup post:

After deciding I didn't like that I could sometimes scroll just a couple and other times had to scroll at least seven or eight times before getting the cursor to move I gave them a call. They sent me a new remote and a new plug cover. They simply sent me a remote and I returned my first one in the packaging once the new one arrived. I was able to spend time in the field during the weekend while I waited, which was really nice.

I like the new one click remote better.
The new plug cover was easy to install, and the issue is gone.

I'm happy, and I have now experienced their customer service firsthand.

Looks like I'll be contacting FoxPro to fix my remote with the new style knob. I've put up with it for way too long. Now it just spins and spins and sometimes it goes the wrong direction on the sound list. Come on man! I setup my presets and memorized some of my favorite sounds numbers so I can just punch them in. Still a pain in the butt.

If you would like you can call our Service Team and set up a case number that way they have information prior to the call/remote getting here. If not just place a note inside stating the issues you are having along with your phone number and return shipping information.

717-248-2507 option # 2 for Service.

I dropped the Fury 2 with the TX505 remote in the mail today. Should be delivered Saturday. I did include a piece of paper with the issue and return address with my phone number.

Additionally, I have a calling contest on November 18th so I would like to have it back by the 16th if at all possible.

Thanks!

Once they get your package checked in they will give you a call. I would expect to hear from them either today or tomorrow.

I broke the antenna on a Fury a few years ago.
They received it on a Tuesday, repaired it on Wednesday, and shipped it back to me on Thursday.
Good folks!!

My original Fury does this erratic scrolling thing in cold weather. Extremely annoying! Once the remote is good and cold it is almost impossible to select a sound. I'm sure I'm out of warranty, I wonder if they will still fix it?
