Foxpro fusion shutting off unexpectedly?!??!!

I've had my Fusion about 10 years, and it has never missed a beat. My hunting partner has one as well, both purchased at the same time with same results. I have recently gone to AA Lithium rechargeables, but like hunt0168, I carry a spare battery pack ready to go in the call bag. Also using Lithium rechargeables in the remote.

My fusion is still running strong after years of use. It’s my backup caller these days. I run Enloop rechargeable batteries in mine and bought a second battery tray pack that’s loaded and ready to swap if needed. It’s a rarity that it is necessary to do so, but better safe than sorry.

It would chew through alkalines in the cold. Only having one of the two speakers on helps with battery life. Most people just run the horn speaker for volume. The cone will give you better low range sounds, but coyotes and foxes aren’t that picky in my opinion.

Hope you get it figured out. I think the Fusion is one of the best, feature packed calls they made.
The OP should read this and then read it again. I bet the answer is in there.

GOOD RECHARGABLE BATTERIES will cure his problems. I'd bet on it.
