Its on sale for 399 at cabelas website if anyone is interested and whats to cash in on this good deal. And if you live close to a Cabelas you can have them ship to that store for free and pick it up there. And another option is just go into Cabelas and if its not on sale in the store which it might not be, they will price match any of there online sales.

Nice of you to link the Cabela's sale especially for those who may have some points to cash in.

APC has an even better deal though as you can customize the sounds you want and choose a camo.

Both have great things going.

Wow! I could buy a lot of nice hand calls with 400 bucks. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

But you could call and bag a lot more coyotes with a Foxpro! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

Plus you'd look kind of funny with all those calls on a lanyard and may get stuck in the brush or over weight yourself. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Now this is not really true in most cases!!! But unless you are really good with a call and can make it sound like coons fighting or in distress then you WILL kill more coons with a foxpro!!!

The FX3's have been on sale for a while now. I bought one several months ago for the above price off of Midwayusa. I figured they would be dropping in price and stuck it out until they did. Most dealers offer the FX3 for that price now.

I have a Foxpro FX3, and I love Cabelas but I would buy it from Allpredatorcalls.com even if I had to pay more. A predator call is ONLY as good as the sounds that are loaded on it. The Cabelas model comes preloaded with mixture of sounds to try to appeal to a large customer base (it has a little bit of everything).

At Allprededatorcalls.com, AP Jones spent over 30 minutes with me on the phone going over what he felt was the best assortment of calls. He and his staff have done extensive field testing and he knows what works and what does not. Just because it is a Foxpro does not mean that it will call in a coyote.

One example: I was wanting to buy the "blacktail fawn" in distress because we have blactail deer out here in California (seemed very logical to me). He kindly and gently explained that "whitetail fawn" in distress is a higher quality recording and MUCH more effective (even in areas that have no whitetail population). He also talked me out of a particular rabbit distress that I was wanting and suggested a "snowshoe rabbit" distress instead. He said that he had effectively called Coyotes with the snowshoe distress in the middle of the deserts of Arizona (which have no snowshoe hares).

The mistake that we sometimes mistake in my opinion is putting too much emphasis on the "brand" or "model" of electronic call, rather than the actual calls that being loaded onto it.

I looked at the Cabelas model before I bought mine. In the end, it only had a few of the calls loaded on it that I ended getting.

Just my opinion,

Calcoyote

You want the custom sound list from APC. I get my stuff from APC and they've kept a free subscription to Predator Extrem coming to me for better than a couple years now. It's a good investment on their part! They're great folks!

this is true on the FOXPRO, it will make the odds a lot better. I know this to be true because I own one! The foxpro gets the sound away from the shooter and that is a BIG plus when your inside the 40 yard mark. I can see if your shooting out west and your shots are 100, 200, 300, 400 yards it wouldnt matter as much on control of your movement!
