Foxpro no longer selling reconditioned callers?

Friday I called Foxpro directly to see if I could buy a refurbished unit they told me they sold all the units they had and the rights to sell them to Cabela's whom will be selling them. They said the deal with Cabela's happened 2 months ago and Cabela's would likely have them for sale shortly.

I wondered what was going on when I went looking for refurbished units on their site. Whats the likelihood of getting a good deal on a refurbished unit after Cabelas tacks on their cut?

Knowing Cabelas....slim to none.
 
I'm sorry to be the barer of bad news. When I had learned foxpro sold thier own referbished units and stood behind them like a new one (before I make the call to order one and got the news) it inpressed me into liking Foxpro even more.

I totally agree. I'm not impressed by this move on Foxpros part. First they start making Cabelas labeled Ecalls and now this. I hope it is lucrative for them as a company meaning I'm sure Cabelas will buy "X" amount of refurbished calls at a set price, set a price a little cheaper than that of the new retail price for the same caller. Kinda reminds of a Wal-Mart move. Don't get me wrong, I shop at Cabelas. I have plenty of stuff I've bought there & from Cabelas online but I'm just not sure I like this move from Foxpro. I agree with most, APC would have been a much better choice.

A little while back Cabelas was interested in purchasing all of our reconditioned callers and decoys. This is not a set in stone process that they will continue buying them. They were sold the products but not the rights to all of them. In the future they may want to buy more but whenever we get more in stock we will continue selling them direct from FOXPRO. I hope this helps clear the air a little bit.
 
The ones to Cabelas will probably wind up in their stores "bargain cave" rather than available through the website. That is what happens with most of their bulk return-type purchases.
 
Thank-you for clearing that up. That's not the way the guy I talked to told it to me (I don't remember his name) but I'm glad foxpro will continue selling referbished units.
