I seen somewhere someone had took a 18v dewalt battery and was using it to power his foxpro. i cant remember where I seen this but was wanting to give it a try. Tired of dead batteries. Can anyone help me out here?

I recharge my batteries after every use. I have never had it go dead during a hunt.
Maybe you should try that before you try to adapt a Dewalt tool battery to a FoxPro caller.
I typically only use the front speaker, using both all the time does pull more from the batteries.

We have never had a battery go dead on any of our FoxPro ecallers, and that covers a lot of hunting over the years. I don't believe I'd try that conversion to 18V.

what kind of batteries are you using? Which f0xpr0 caller are you using?Originally Posted By: Murray8503I seen somewhere someone had took a 18v dewalt battery and was using it to power his foxpro. i cant remember where I seen this but was wanting to give it a try. I would say you are in danger of frying your caller. most electronics are made with a safety cushion voltage wise, but a call that takes 8 AA batteries is geared for 12V and will likely stand up to 13.5 or possibly 14V before damage occurs. Putting an 18 volt battery on it is well above any safety margin and would definitely void any warranty you have. Manufactures can tell if excessive voltage caused a failure
