Foxpro review from a Foxpro Junkie

Funny, I've watched this thread over the last couple of days, and thought weird, I've had my fx3 for three years and not a hitch in its use. Until today... I'm getting things ready to go our here in the next day or two (depending on the weather) Noticed that it wouldn't turn on. One of the wires leading to the connection to the battery tray has broke.

I currently have a Foxpro fx3 that I bought new about 4 years ago. When deer season ends in late November each year I begin using my Foxpro heavily calling coyotes. I will use it daily from late November through mid March. During the last 3 weeks of December each year I hunt coyotes at first light until noon, then I'll do another stand each evening until dark. On weekends I'll also hunt first light until noon then I'll do one evening stand until dark.
In the years I've had my FX3 I've only had a single complaint with it. My only complaint is that when the call is sitting on the ground, even just 30 yards away, I sometimes have to hold my remote over my head or even stand up to get my remote to work. If I sit my caller up on a row of corn stalks or something I have no problem with it.. usually. Other than that, my FX3 has performed perfectly through lots of use until this fall.

Now after 4 years of use I've finally experienced the exact same problem as Bowhunter32 above. When I charged my batteries I began having problems getting the call to turn on. I found one of the wires to my battery holder connecter is about to break. I've ordered a wall charger so maybe I can nurse the call through the season before I send it in for repair.

I've been absolutely satisfied with my Foxpro FX3, and also the two 416B's I had before I bought my FX3. I use my call hard, and it performs well.

Those connectors are really easy to solder. My FX3 was the old type with the soft battery connector and after re-soldering it twice, I finally just put a new right angle connector on and had no more problems. The cord would run up past the connector, then make a nice gentle loop back down.

Got a new NX3 and...ta-da... right angle connector already installed.
