Foxpro scorpion or spitfire?

I'd personally go with the Scorpion, I like the compact size and if you need a lot of volume you can add on the SP-55 speaker for great volume. They are a great caller, I kinda regret getting rid of mine. I like the additional volume steps and the 8 battery power source better than the Spitfire as well.

Yes, yes, yes. I know a lot of guys like the Spitfire, I can't speak ill of the Spitfire, but I can say that I really like the size and flexibility of the Scorpion. It is also good with the rechargeable batteries, they go all day. I have also mounted my SP-55 speaker on a tripod so that I do not have to go looking for trees to hang it in.

Without hesitation, I'd go for the Scorpion. No comparison between the two in reality. Much more versatile with the onboard speaker being all the volume you need for most situations. The SP-55 will take care of volume increases if you need them.

I have an older Scorpion. The X1A. I have not seen or used the Spitfire so, I won't comment on that one.
I really like my Scorpion. Small and lightweight it will fit easily in a good sized pocket. I have squeezed it in the back pocket of my wranglers.
It does well all by itself. If I need more volume like when I'm crow hunting; I add a SP-55 speaker and/or another speaker I have. Sometimes, playing in stereo and have ALL the volume I need and then some. I really like its versatility. It's about perfect for my needs.

If the price tag of the scorpion scares you a bit, look at the Wildfire. External jack, TX-9 remote, foxbang, can hold the 200 sounds, comes with 35.

been lookin at Fox Pros myself whats the biggest diffrence in the Scorpion and the Wildfire other than the size? they both have Foxbang both hold 200 sounds..same remote so whats worth another $60 on the scorpion?

The Scorpion has an amplified Cone speaker, while the Wildfire has a horn speaker. I can tell you that my scorpion is crisp and clear and has little distortion even at the highest volume and the highest pitch calls. And it has two jacks for external speakers if you need more volume.

It all depends on how much jack you wanna spend. The Spitfire will suffice most areas and only cost 200 bucks. I have used this call for the last 2 years and have over 50 kills with it including an unconfirmed wolf. My cousin has the scorpion and he loves it. Cost him close to 500 bucks. Take a look at the Wildfire also. Good call for the price and has FOXBANG and 200 Call Capacity for 300 Bucks.

i got the spitfire last yr, and i love it, no issues and has many kills under its belt! I have spare SD cards for different hunting situations! For the money i could not be more pleased with the spitfire, its all about how much money you wanna drop! Good luck and happy shopping!!

I did a lot of research on the Foxpro last year. Hated to do it but because of funds being low for xmas I went with the Spitfire.

The Spitfire worked great last season. I learned that just because you don't think it has a lot of volume doesn't mean the critters won't be fooled. I also learned 24 calls is more then enough.

If it were a do-over at this point I'd go Spitfire again.

Spitfire for me!! Have had mine only 6 days and have called in 2 coyotes yesterday morning (got one of them, and a gray fox on the same day that I got the call. I am totally new to this sport and I am already hooked!! 24 calls is more than enough like stated before. I got mine from Amazon.com for $166.49 with free shipping!!! Can't beat that price.

I have one of each. The Scorpion is nice for the size, the number of calls, the recall button, volume steps, the remote (although the buttons aren't quite "proud" enough for use with gloves) battery life and the remote range.
The Spitfire is good for volume in the wind without an external speaker, fewer batteries (they seem to last as long as in the Scorpion)and better buttons for use with gloves.
They are both loaded with the same sounds and have both been VERY effective at bringing in coyotes.
If I had to choose between the two I'd go with the Scorpion just 'cause it's cooler.
