Foxpro sounds -- 24 bit vs fxp

I have a Fury with my factory loaded 100 sounds in it. I decided to add some sounds. I purchased some sounds from the Mark II list, thinking I would be getting them in the 24-bit format. They showed up as the fxp format.

The library says the sounds are available in 24-bit format, does this mean only in new units or do you have to talk to someone at the factory or???

Anyone with experience in this matter?

Thanks in advance,
Rich

I assumed /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif they were all .fxp. Just as an .mp3 can be encoded at different bitrates, they can all have the .fxp extension but be better quality files.

I just tried to order some 24-bit and the 24-bit "pop-down list" isn't working. The other lists are and show .fxp files. Send Foxpro an e-mail explaining that you ordered sounds trying to get 24-bit for your Fury but they came .fxp. They should get the 24-bit to you once they understand what happened.

GAJoe,

My bad!!! Your response woke me up. I had downloaded the sound list and was comparing it with what I had and what I wanted. When I tried to purchase my files, I did not notice the file extensions associated with the various files.

I will contact them next week about the files and the .24b drop down list.

Thanks for your help,

Rich
