FoxPro SpitFire Cold Weather Battery Life ?

Just wondering if anyone has issues in cold temps with battery life in SpitFire or any other FoxPro calls ? I left tonight to go call at about 9:30 with the temp. in the low 20's. Only had the call running about 15 minutes then, you guessed it the call died & no spare batteries with me.
The batteries in it only had about 4 hours on them, Duracells. Did I have about dead batteries or something else going on ?
Thanks for any input.

Try to get a lithium pack or batteries. Also always carry a spare battery. I can't tell you how many times I walked in the woods and the caller was not charged.

My Spitfire batteries usually last for 20-25 hours calling time. In cold weather and when I hook my SP55 speaker to it I get about 15 hours. Also sometimes when I have it in my pack it will turn on accidentally and run the batteries down.
