foxpro vs. highway

Scoured the intetnet to find a 92mm speakers to replace it with. Sounds easy enough. Not a soul makes thay size besides this Chinese company. So I called Foxpro and told them what happened and that I would like to just purchase the speakers. They also told me no they cant sell those and that I'd have to send it in. So the Fusion is on its way to Foxpro to have 20.00 worth of Chinese speakers replaced and they can charge me who knows how much.

Hmmmmm?

I wonder if they are "Assembled" in the USA and some of the parts are made in other countries.

I guess one of the questions is - Is it a good speaker although it is made in China?

Before going on a Tirade i would contact FoxPro and ask them what they can do to help with your problem and then maybe pose the question as to WHY they claim made in America, and that in fact they should claim "Assembled" in the USA.

I have 2 FoxPro e-callers and are very happy with them and their customer service. If they are claiming MADE IN THE USA then i have a problem with that i guess to a small extent paying top USA money for Chinese parts.

It is still the best caller made that i have personally used and it is what my buddies use, no disputing that.

Best of luck on your newest venture!

This is not a tirade by any means. I have spoken to Foxpro and the caller is on its way for repair. I have owned 3 Foxpros and have loved every one of them. I wouldn't buy a different E-caller. I am, however, unhappy with the claim that it is Made in America when it is not. When I get home I will take a picture of THE Fusion box and it is clearly stated on the side Made in America.

In my experience, Foxpro has the best customer service of any outdoor industry company that I've come in contact with. I've used Foxpro calls for several years and they have been great handling any questions or problems that I've had. They are resolving a Fusion problem for me right now. Let us know how this turns out...I'll be surprised if they can't get your apparently demolished call back to you in good working order and to your satisfaction.

I think we'd be hard-pressed to find any electronics that aren't assembled in the US with some imported parts. Then we turn around an put imported batteries in them.

I hate to say it, but if it is assembled in USA then they can clam it is American Made. I don't agree with that statement, but it is done that way. But it was funny to read some of the comments.

if all the parts in a caller were made in the usa very few of us could afford one. it does seem like false advertising for foxpro to say that it is. maybe politician trickle down effect.

From my dictionary the definitions of "made".

1- constructed, shaped, formed

2-produced artificially

3- invented, contrived

4- prepared from various ingredients

5- sure of success

Foxpro callers were invented and contrived, prepared from various ingredients and constructed, shaped and formed in the USA.

Definition of "contrive"

1- to think up, devise, scheme, plan

2- to construct skillfully or ingeniously fabricate

3- to bring about

Anybody who questions FoxPro ecallers being made in the USA needs to make a trip up to Lewistown, PA. and take a tour of the FoxPro factory. You'll come away impressed.

FoxPro customer service is top drawer! Customer service is all important IMO and you will find few products today that are made in USA w/parts also made in USA.

I'd bet FoxPro handles your problem w/class.

i dont care where the caller is made as long as it works like i need it to and if it needs fixed i can send it off and get it back fast. so far foxpro has done me good in those ways.

I've got three foxpro EC's and all of a sudden I'm not feeling so good. Not sure if its lead poisoning or asbestos exposure.

It amazes me that so many of you are ok with and justifying buying something that says PROUDLY made in the USA when it's not. That's the problem right there. If they can get away with charging you 400% over what they pay and it's "no big deal" that's why they do it. If you go to your Dodge dealership and they say they are putting OEM brake pads on your truck and they put cheap Chinese ones on there you'd be ok with that as well? Same concept.

Also it seems that every one of you seems to claim "they have the best customer service". Why do so many of you have this experience? All of your Foxpros falling off your trucks too? Or are they manufacturer issues? This they aren't falling off your trucks, getting wet, run over, or something like that then the manufacturer is to blame. Which I now would understand because it's cheap parts inside.

I work for Polaris and they do the same thing which I totally disagree with. They claim it's made in USA when the motors are assembled in Mexico, full of Chinese electronics and Italian engine controllers. It's not something I can control and neither is this. But I won't sit here and defend it.

In answer to your question, After three years of hunting 3-4 days a week pretty much year round, I sent my FX3 (which was working fine)to be upgraded to FX5; turnaround time was excellent. While there I asked them to replace the remote plug on side which I had damaged by hanging the connecting cord on a bush carrying the FoxPro and the decoy without disconnecting cord.....my fault.....Replaced at no charge.

While I prefer to buy US, it is not always possible and product reliability backed by good customer service is hard to beat.

The replies about great customer service are not indicative of a lot of problems. FoxPro sells a large number of ecallers, so you'll have more customer service events than a company that only sells a few. Made in the USA is important to FoxPro, and I agree with them.

This warrants a reply from that famous pundit might be proper here, Red Green would say fix"r with duct tape or it jest can't be fixed.
It seems we all have done some kind of embarrassing things that are hard to own up too sometimes.
I hope that you get your Foxpro fixed.

Best to ya.
