I live real close to Norfork lake.
Maybe 10 miles as the crow flies.
I've heard the lake levels are real low already this year but
I haven't been to the lake in awhile.

We used to go down there and fish wyboo, nelsons cut and stay on potato creek been around five years since i have been there.......trapperdoc

SO is the hog population high enough that we have a good chance of seeing one, even if we don't get a shot off, and 2, what licensing might I need?

Oh, and I have an AR (.223/5.56), and a 12 gauge Rem 870. LOOONG barrel on the scattergun, would rather use the AR. Also a .45 of course, and a few other goodies. So what is the weapon of choice in the cover you are rooting around in? Maybe I can figure out a way to visit sometime (will call first and arrange it of course!!).

A non resident license is required for hogs. Right now... the only place I have for hogs is sneaking through some open wet/dry swamp areas... so it's spot and stalk... and I was in there last monday... saw no hogs... but there was sign... sept-march is better with more places to hunt hogs.

any weapon is okay for hogs... it's not that thick where you have to use shotguns... in the fall I use a Bow... and some rifles... and also muzzleloaders by slipping around or deer/hog hunting from treestands.

Chances of seeing hogs in the fall is pretty good...now... it's spotty because of the heat... they roam more at night during this weather... but anything is possible... as hunting is hunting.... is like a Box of Chocolates.

Yeah, I get your meaning! I would rather wait til it cools some anyway! It is over 100 daily here right now. I am a little bit away from you but I have gone farther to hunt...

Let me see what comes up, maybe a road trip is possible this fall! Thanks!

That is a very nice offer Dan. I`m not sure what this Summer will bring as far as a vacation get away, but will definately keep your offer in mind.
Thank you.
Don
