I'm with you on hating facebook. And I cannot and will not enter this contest or any other that reqiures facebook to be the means to be qualified. (Would it really hurt to let anyone enter? Not everyone has, or wants a facebook). I'm already being called a Zealot because I don't have an account. I just refuse to put my personal information out there, it gives me nothing in return and it becomes facebooks commodity to sell.
I will not do business with poeple that force you to login with facebooks accounts or want you to "like" them on Facebook either. I just don't need anything that badly.
But, judging from the responses here, lots of people are inventory for facebook and they don't care.

Seems like this contest was a friendly gesture.... brought on by good intentions. You chose not to be on FB.... that's your choice..... along with the many others you refer to.
Unless you pay CASH FOR EVERYTHING, DON'T CARRY ANY type of insurance, NEVER voted, DON'T have a drivers license OR a HANDGUN PERMIT of some variation and NEVER had a background check.... your PERSONAL INFORMATION is out there somewhere for the right person to find.... it's just a fact of life in the electronic age we live in.... I'm sorry you feel the way you do, but to each his own my friend.

If you don't want to join facebook, then DON'T join the contest!
This was a contest set up by one of our sponsors, and if you choose NOT to participate, then we'll all respect that, just like you should respect those who choose to participate in a VERY friendly gesture offered by Silenced America.
Remember, "FAIR" is a place where you buy cotton candy and hog's get judged!

Grizzly, Jeff Mock, I'm glad that so many people got to participate. I am not at any loss because I choose not to join facebook. I was simply stating that there are people that are left out due to the choices of the contest rules and there are people that only have PCs at work which Facebook may be blocked. I understand how Facebook works and that the more Likes you get, the more recognition you have from other people that might be interested. And yes, it was a very nice gesture.
I never said that I wouldn't buy something from them, as long as that doesn't require a facebook account.

I suppose I should say thank you for quantifying your reasons and showing why I should have a Facebook account. The opinion you have that everything is already out there, so it is ok to have an account and give more information, is not the same as mine. But yes I know what is out there, and I deal with it daily. Doesn't mean that I should freely add more if I choose not to. Let's just say that from the industry that I am in, I have a bigger picture of the problem and the manipulation involved. It's not all about information.

I wasn't saying you should if you don't want to.... I was just saying you shouldn't have one because of the info it "might" put out there.... YOU can control what gets put on FB.... I don't put my every though/picture/or status change up there.... but any info you use to create a FB account is already (A) public knowledge or (B) can be found out or cracked.
Not everyone can see my info due to the privacy settings I set.... and I only friend people I know or talk to on a regular basis. I don't have every single person I have met in life or most of my school classmates.... because let's face it, if they were too stuck up or snobby to be friends in school, I don't want to be friends with them now.
If you deal with the tech stuff daily then I'm sure you are aware.... Again, just trying to be friendly and be on my way.

I hope everyone took some time to reflect today and remembered all of those who we lost 10 years ago, those that we have lost fighting terrorism since, and how it has affected your life.
For those who did not like the Face Book format, sorry. There is a reason that I do it that way. Face Book is a FREE way for me to advertise my business. Everyone who "LIKES" my page gets updates from me. It is their choice whether or not they read the updates, but I will be giving more free stuff away in the future on my Face Book Page, so it benefits them to check it. It is a business decision. Now, I know that I will never ever ever be able to make everyone happy, but I can do my best to make most people happy.
Again, thank you Jeff and Predator Masters. I think that I brought a few more people who will be contributing members to this forum and introduced some people to the legalities of suppressor ownership, which is my goal.
