full camo really needed ?

Interesting-- i read an article written by Gerry Blair about just such a hunt where he wore a Santa suit to hunt coyotes-- with a good degree of success also. He is also from AZ.

In the summer I go out on our playas and fly really large kites and play with a kite buggy, when the wind stops blowing enough to play I grab my rifle and wander off into the sage and call in nothing but shorts, sandels and tanktop, whatever color I happen to be wearing and as long as I don't move about I still call and shoot coyotes,,NVWalt

Who needs camo?????????? What you see is exactly what I had on when I called in and shot this yote. Kind of open country too !!!!!!!

Have to admit I do wear the stuff. Have to keep some of the manufactures in business. LOL

Camo is nice when you need to check and see that the scope is on low power, or the safety is on or that that noise you heard was only a bird or that that movement out of the corner of your eye was the beast you were looking for. To check that your buddy isn't moving, or that the watch hasn't stopped. These are some of the reasons I like camo.

Hey Bob tale us about your rifle, caliber, make, stock. scope. Looks good. How far was the shot on the dog? Happy Hunting from Libreal California,I'm no libreal.

For the newbies, that is the Purple 220 Swift. That is a Remington Classic with a McMillan stock. I was hunting on the family place in the Oklahoma Panhandle. Called the yote in at about 60 yards. For who ever said that coyotes can see blue jeans real well. Wonder what they see when they look at Purp? That is , right before the bang and everything goes dark for them.
