Fur friendly .243 load

oh yea, I think the Stevens has a 1-9.25" twist. Is that too fast a twist rate for the 58gr vmax?

My 243 is a tac driver but I am convinced there is not a fur freindly bullet avialable in this round. The best I could tell you is to go with a 100g deer type weight offering or load bullets below the 2800fps mark. This is the reason I added a 223 to my battery.

I"ve had great luck shooting dogs with my 243, with very minimal, if any, fur damage.

I've been using a Sierra 60gr HP at max load with Varget powder and WLR primers.

It drops 'em hard an fast, and I'm not sure if I've wrecked more than 1 or 2 pelts in well over 100 dogs with this load.
