Sold five (early November coyotes) on the January's North American Fur Auction sale. After 11% commision, shipping and turning fees, we averaged $38.86 Can. for Western heavy pelts. My skinner gets half so it ended up $97.15 for each of us.
I have 18 (Dec. and late Nov. coyotes)there for the upcoming Feb. sale. These pelts are prime so it will be interesting to see what they bring.

I have gotten $20 for most of my yotes (in the round)---however recently I have been getting $15 and somtimes $10--if they are rubbed a little!

Man, we just sold all of our coon and coyotes we had, trust me way more coon than coyotes, but we didn't even break even on the shells for the yots. most were a buck, a couple brought $5 if I remember, it would pay me to ship mine up to you.

was that for them fleshed and dried? If you are going through all that work you should send them off to NAFA, prices are through the roof this year.

I averaged slightly above $30.00 on coyotes through NAFA. Had a high of $52.00 and a couple in the low teens but most went at about $25.00.

The best I've had in a while. Last year averaged $26.00.

I also did very well on my other fur. Even coons I sold locally averaged over $12.00 on the nose. Otter avg. was over $100 and I got over a $100 for my bobcats but they were sold to a taxidermist.

I can't wait for spring beaver season. My fall/winter beaver were also a hot item.

All fur was put up perfectly.

I guess that the high fuel prices and speculation on poor fur prices kept a bunch of trappers out of the field and reduced overall fur take, something we have needed for a long time. Couple that with a cold winter in Russia and Europe and we get good prices again.
