fx3 or fx5???

i need help on which one to buy. i plan on ordering in the next few days. is the fx5 remote that much better then the fx3?? the fx5 looks like you can see the call listings on the display,is that correct?? also are you ble to play continous sound on both callers?? i am using the preymaster right now but am really wantting a remote caller and better sounds. thanks-mike-
 
Yes you can switch off the remote also. I like it that you can set it like a phone, program sounds on keypad - very cool! I have 2 jackal sounds and 2 distress on memory keypad. You can set it to start sounds at specific volumes, shows volume level on the remote and also has a timer to tell you how long you are at a stand.

All of my partners had FX3's and they upgraded to the FX5. I just did the same and it is well worth the money for the remote alone.
 
The four presets let you preset the sound and volume of each sound. The recall let's you go back and fourth between your last two selections and the volume they were each at.
This remote is the best tool to manage sounds ever. Well worth it! And don't forget you get 1Gig of memory and 200 entries also. No more changing sounds out just add another!

I just picked up an FX3 & have no intentions of buying another caller. I may upgrade for the difference in price but I get my caller back with new FX5 innards & remote. So now I've owned an FX3 AND an FX5 AND still only owned 1 unit. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif Maybe I should sell my FX3 & pony up for the FX5. bullwhip-I don't know you, but you're fun to watch, and obviously you don't know much about FoxPro. If you buy one and decide you don't like it, you don't have to buy another that suits you. Just send yours in, Mike and Joe and the boys and girls there will make you a happy camper for the difference between the two callers. They won't force you to buy two of them, unless of course you want two of them.

Don't "duuh" me!
If you're going to take a shot at someone or a company you should learn a little about the product before you show your ignorance and arrogance. You haven't been around Foxpro's FX's very long have you? The deal they offer is that if you buy the FX3 and they make improvements in latter FX models (like the FX5) that you may pay only the difference in price plus postage and they will upgrade the unit to that model. There's no risk of being obsolete with the FX series callers. You're just out the price of postage to have the latest and greatest. I got a FX3 and got it upgraded for the difference in price. I do "firmware" and hardware upgrades at work all the time. It's as good as the new product. Now that you have learned this, you have to admit Foxpro's not the kind of company you first made them out to be. And I'm not as slow as you tried to make me look either.

Joe-I liked that "Don't duuh me", wished I'd used that one.

"Welcome" to da board bullwhip, as you can tell we are pretty much straight up around here, but ya gotta know your scat before you deposit it here. Most all of us are FoxPro fans simply due to their "Customer Service", they won't be beat on that. They are part of this family and treat you as such as well.

There you have it, another quickly satified customer. Just remember now, if you want it to become an FX5 all you pay is the difference, just little upgrade.
