Look at social media and how it has conditioned people to put all their business out there for the world to see.

If you look into the story behind Facebook and how it was forged out of a DARPA program called Lifelog. It was a spy/intel gathering operation disguised and fun and cool social media.

also for those that dont know, i read an article that said FB takes every photo that people tag with a name and sells them to facial recognition companies like everseen and clearview. it also said that walmart does the same thing, they capture your image and info when you pay with a card of some kind, especially at self check out.

Fresno police could be given 24-hour access to cameras Axon allows residents or neighborhoods to register their cameras so police know where they are when they want to ask for footage, or the cameras can be allowed to offer free access to police around the clock, according to Axon’s website. The program is available in cities around the country, including places in the San Joaquin Valley like Merced, Modesto, Turlock and Stockton, according to Axon. The company says there are 290 registered cameras in Merced and 105 that are already integrated for 24-hour access, the Axon website says. Modesto has 424 integrated cameras and 88 that are simply registered.

We recently arrested and fired one of our Detectives for misuse of Flock and other LE data base programs.

Too bad... we've used Flock successfully to locate missing Dementia patients but after this incident, the Sheriff has suspended all Flock use and accounts.

Flock was a great idea initially but then IMO the cameras and their placements started getting way out of hand. I support the Sheriff's decision to scrap the Flock program at our agency.
