The other morning I got off work at 6am after working 13 hours. Had the truck ready to go with my hunting gear. Picked a spot to hunt not far from town. From work to getting out of the truck was less than 15 minutes. Found a spot I could hide my truck in a low spot. After getting my backpack on I headed out into the desert. At 300 yards from the truck I could no longer see it. Good enough. Put the fox pro out 40 yards. Came back to my spot sat down. Looking around my spot I couldn't see a damn thing. The ground was flat and lots of grease wood bushes. This sucked. I want to see them coming if possible. I stood back up. Much better. To try and conceal myself I stepped into one of the taller bushes. Lengthened my mono pod to work standing and started with rabbit distress. Less than three minutes into calling and I had a coyote charging in from my left. He stopped maybe 30 yards from the call and he dropped in his tracks from the 6mm ARC. First coyote I have ever shot while I was standing up! I let the call keep doing its thing. At 8 minutes here comes another coyote from my right. I rushed this shot and the coyote didnt stop. Hit farther back than I wanted. Quick before it could go anywhere I put a second round into him. My first double!
That does count as a double right? Two coyotes on one stand but they were not together.
The few other coyotes I've shot with this new 6mm ARC, 62 grain varmint grenade was very fur friendly. These two were not. Soft ball size exit wounds. The one gut shot was completely opened up.
Haul ass back home in bed by 8. Got to be back to work at 5.

Good job!

When I had to switch from lead bullets to lead free bullets I got more big exit holes with 62 gr Barnes Varmint Grenades than I got with 75 gr V-Max lead bullets.
