I'm having PRK not normal lasik
i asked for what ever one is best for my eyes situation and after the exam they decided PRK is better.
i can't wait wish i could have it done yesterday lol

i haven't been seeing well even with glasses for a couple years couldn't see coyotes unless they were moving.

by this time next week i'll be seeing great but will probably have a callus on my nose from trying to push up my glasses lol

I've gotta go to Lafayette Colorado to have it done as nobody in Wyoming does it.
i sure can't wait I've been legally blind for years and am dang tired of wearing scratched up coke bottle glasses.
4200 bucks but it will be worth every penny.

I hope it works out well for you.
One of these days I hope to have my eyes done. I can't use my binoculars any more. And, have some trouble with a scope.
But, I'm thankful I can still see well enough to work.

my bags are packed
I've had a hard time at work i can't see anything close up with glasses and have to be real close to see without them.
I've got some bifocals but they are glass lenses so i don't wear them at work.
i'll still probably need reading glasses for up close but that's a big improvement to now.

Good luck Casey! I truly hope all goes well, & you like the end result!!

I have been wearing glasses since age 5, also.
Tried contacts, but they didn't "agree" with my eyes.
Although not "legally blind", if I take off my glasses, everything farther away than a few inches is nothing but a total blur.
I should have gotten bifocals a couple years ago, when I updated my presription. But I decided to wait.
To read any kind of small wording, I have to take off the glasses, & hold whatever I'm reading about 2"-3" from my eyes. Hahaha

Casey, hope all goes well and you will be able to pck up the dogs easier. I'll bet it will help to keep you from missng some of those great sheds you hunt for!! Good luck!!

Hope you like it. I have a couple good friends who have had it done and they like it. The one friend said they can do the procedure in such a way as to reduce the need for reading glasses (magnifyers)for up close focusing...he said it was odd at first but glad he had it done that way.

I had the surgery done before lasik where they cut my eyes, that was 15 years ago and still 20/20 hope all goes well for you

Best of luck with the surgery.I know a couple of people who had it and they are tickled to death.Sincerely hope it's that way for you also.I have eye surgery in my future but have to wait a while.

well they say it will take a week before i see clearly as of right now i see a whole lot better but not 20/20.
eyes are sore this morning
i can see to type but still can't read road signs good thing the wife drove home from longmont.
doc said i couldn't go arrowhead hunting yet today lol
but i wonder about climbing the mountain to change the cards in my trail cam lol {maybe next week}
the PRK takes longer then lasik to heal and focus but is better in the long run they say.
almost bought a nice camper in Cheyenne on the ride home but i want to go thru my own bank so i'll see tomorrow if i buy it or not.

I had PRK done in December and it is without a doubt the BEST money I have ever spent. The first few days were uncomfortable but I can now see 20/15 and I love it!!! My advice to anyone who is considering it is absolutely to do it, you will wonder why you waited so long!

well i was hoping to go to work today but i'm still not seeing good enough to drive.
eyes still burn this morning hard to keep them open.
that said I'm seeing clearer then yesterday so it just needs more time.
i still want to go check my trail cam i'll have to talk the wife into driving me up there lol don't think i could see a arrowhead yet.

not quite 20-20 yet but gaining every day.
hope that next monday when they take the bandage contacts out i'll see better then i ever have oh yeah i do see WAY better already then i remember ever seeing with my glasses off.

The bandage contacts suck. I am surprised you are getting along as good as you are so soon. I was VERY light sensitive for 8 or 9 days to the point I hated being outside. I am glad it worked out for you!

they took the bandage contacts out yesterday and i blurred up and had to come home from work.
this morning i was seeing great again and worked all day.
i still look for my glasses every morning old habits are hard to break.
i'm seeing vary well now, at the eye doc i could read 20/20 lines but i had to squint.
its getting better every day and the doc said it will continue to improve for a month to a year i'll have days where it fades in and out.
this is TOOO COOOOOOL!!
i use my dark safty glasses when i'm outside.
