ok, im wanting to pick up gulli suit for this season.. im wanting something liteweight as well as have a little bit of warmth to it.. i really dont like the moss looking material.. i have a buddy using that stuff right now and it sheds all over my truck and is just a pain in the rear to mess with.. theres just too much of it(if you know what i mean) im looking for more of the shredded fabric material type..

if any of you guys have any or are familiar enough with this type clothing to point me in the right direction to a good suit i would really appreciate it.. thanks shawn..

I wear the Rancho Safari ghillie jacket & headpiece all the time. It is very lightweight, doesn't shed, and most of all doesn't smell. It's made of cotton/poly strips which are easily replaced. Cut very roomy to go over clothes during colder months. Love the thing!! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif
Good luck!

i tried to get the TCS LIGHTWEIGHT GHILLIE w/scentlok suit from cabelas and they wont have the tops in until after april(next year).. so im looking elsewhere.. ill take a look at the rancho suits but im not sure that is the type suits im looking for..

I sent you a PM. If you want to get what you need, it's best (and a lot cheaper) to build it yourself. I use mine all the time for coyotes.

That TCS scentlock suit is going to be heavier and hotter too. Might want to keep that in mind. The Rancho suit netting allows for good air flow which is great when it's warm.

isnt the rancho suit made out of the burlap material.. i have a buddy with one and the stupid thing sheds all over my truck when he wears it.. kind of pain to deal with really and makes me think it wont last very long..

any of you have pics of the bushrag outfits up close????

the tcs suit im wanting for later in the season anyway.. im also wanting the scentlok as well for bowhunting with the suit..

I made one out of a kit and it works great. I can not shoot my bow with it on. And it took a long time to make 40+ hours and it is hot and heavy but works awsome. If ya want PM me and I will send ya pics

Rancho does have one that is made from jute. Their lightweight one is made of strips of poly/cotton. That is the one I use. NO SHEDDING! NO SMELL!

so its basically just a cover up suit and not a pants/jacket combo.. more like a poncho type suit?
i looked at the pics on there sight the other night but i cant remember which ones i looked at and i cant get on there sight from work right now so ill have to wait until tonight..

ASAT 3-D suit.
Killed my first coyote the very first time I wore it hunting. I'd hunted coyotes for almost a year before killing my first. I'm convinced the ASAT suit helped.

wishbone, i got those pics.. nice looking outfit... does he have them in different patterns as well...

how much does it weigh??

houser, do you have any pics of that ASAT suit.. who makes it??? i would assume ASAT but i wanted to make sure it wasnt a name for a suit rancho or another manufacturer made..

Yes, he has several differnt patterns. It's light, I don't know 2 lbs maybe?? You don't feel it at all when you wear it.
Good luck!

That's the ASAT suit I'm wearing in my avatar. It's made by ASAT.

i checked out the asat suits yesterday.. is the branch pattern the only pattern they make it in?

im going to try and call jerry on his rancho suits this week.. i forgot all about getting on that website again last night to check them out again.. ill do it for sure this evening..

The ASAT pattern is the only pattern it comes in. Check their website, they explain their pattern and why it works so well in any environment.
The suit uses a ASAT camo mesh along with die cut leafy ASAT camo nylon cloth. Very lightweight and durable.
I was skeptical about the pattern at first but now I'm a believer. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grinning-smiley-003.gif

i emailed jerry at rancho-safari about there suits.. i seen they had the realtree and mossy oak patterns.. i sort of liked the 4seasons blend for my areas i hunt. ill just wait and see if he sends me any pics of the other patterns.. i like to see what im buying.
i was suprised the pants were as heavy and as expensive as they were. seems like there wouldnt be as much to them as the jackets with the pockets/hoods/drawstrings.etc... but looks about like what im looking for.. for that much money its worth trying out.. we'll see what he tells me.. thanks for the help guys.. very appreciated.

Underside pic of the Boonie hat from above. I sprayed some Harvest Gold paint on my suit. To blend a tad better on CRP & harvested corn fields. Very lightweight & a bit airey for warm days. I believe the camo strip's are polyesther?.

Downside to this suit is, it snags on brush & barbed fence's easily. Suit has some "stretch" so you can put a heavy jacket or coat underneath, if needed. Good suit.
