doggin coyotes

I've been having what I consider better than average results so far this year calling the coyotes in. The whole problem seems to be killing em! Most of them so far have been the hard chargers, the ones that come in full tilt right up to the caller, figure out they've been had and are gone in the blink of an eye. Three times this morning I had that happen! Not one single shot fired. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif A voice bark don't stop em, a whistle don't stop em, nothing I have tried stops em. Yeah, yeah I know a bullet will stop em. But I'm gettin old and I just can't get on those runnin coyotes like I use to. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
So anyways I'm seriously considering packing the Rem 1100 loaded with #4 buck. I KNOW I could of killed 2 of those coyotes this morning with a shotgun. I have used a shotgun now and then in the past, but I always felt a little bit like I was cheating or something. Just didn't feel right. lol. Hard to explain. I don't feel a need or urgency to kill EVERY coyote I call in, but I sure like to kill a few!
Just venting.
