Glass (blue) eyed coyote

Went out a couple of mornings ago with intentions of only scouting due to the loud crunchy snow that's been on the ground here the last few days. I brought my gun & calls along just in case I ran across a decent setup, & I'm glad I did. About 9 am I found a side hill that had been getting a lot sun which made for quite walking in the soft snow. Several fresh coyote tracks along with the now quite snow was enough to get me to try a setup. A few calls later...here he comes. He gets in to about 15yds before I can get a clear enough shot to take even with the shotgun. He goes down, & when I walk up to him he lifts his head, & looks at me. That's when I realize he has double glass eyes just like you see in many leopard dogs. After I finished him off his left eye was no longer blue. Anyway, I thought ya'll might like to see the pics.

I think the waters fine. All these oddball critters must be inbred, just like all the people down here. Heck, I even put on some shoes for this hunt... that snow gets a little cold on your feet if you stay out in it to long.

I was using my 3 reed V mouth distress diaphragm & my 3 reed diaphragm howler. I could here him coming as soon as I finished my last howl.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

That's cool. Thanks for posting pics. I love to see unique critters. We had a 3 antlered deer taken this year. Pretty sure he was getting mounted.

Getting your coyote mounted in Arkansas has a whole different meaning.
