Glock 40

I've shot movers with the .45 ACP back in the day. Seems like I held on the leading edge of a broadside crosser to land in the "A" zone center. Is that about the lead? That's been a while so I could have it wrong. The only mover I've shot with my G20 was a running buck after my muzzleloader bullet blew up on the shoulder. Took me a couple missed tries and hit trees but I managed a good hit at about 35 yards with my fourth shot. A 200 gr. XTP at 1,250 fps muzzle velocity did good work. I really like my G20 for a woods bumming rig. It lives in the truck with the Diamond D Guides Choice chest holster ready to take a hike when I need it.

It is not a issue for me as I believe like most that it is far underpowered for the job.

You know having read that page probably a dozen times, I hadn't caught that it was speaking to rifles. They have screwed this thing up so completely that I had a warden tell me that he wasn't even going to check rifle calibers.

Yes, little good comes when an ignorant and uneducated legislature tries to do the DNR's job. The law as originally passed was complete gibberish (which speaks to the thought behind its passing) and the DNR basically threw up their hands.

So I've got a 243 AI primary, got to decide whether the Kimber 10mm or the BFR 45-70 is my "sidearm"….

Turtle,
You ever shoot at the old Ray Chapman Academy outside Columbia, Missouri? Fantastic facility!

I retired from the Columbia MO PD...Spent a lot of time with Ray at his range and he taught me a lot...I shot the first two Bianchi Cup Matches there ('79 & '80) until the entry fees and needed practice ammo got prohibitive for a cop's salary...We did most of our tactical firearms training there since the police range was limited in size and distance...Ray had one of the few moving target set ups back then...

I've attended various training there three times from the mid-90's early 2000 period. Best facility I've shot at.

Sorry for the hijack, Slim. G40 and all that...
