One thing I'll miss about AZ is not living close to Glockmeister. Greatest store on earth for any glock lover

Had them put night sights, clip draw, backstrap channel block, extended mag insert and custom trigger on my Glock 27. They do everything on the spot in all of about 15 minutes. They need to make a TV show called "Pimp My Glock"

You sound like a bona-fide glockophile! Don't worry there is a solution shoot and XD and a 1911 or Browning High Power!!!

Seriously though I feel your pain I miss Sportsman's Warehouse there used to be one here, but they shut it down because their bank got bought out and their new one made them liquidate some store!(Or so the story goes) Anyways, when I was having a bad day I would just go there and it always made things seems better. I burned an hour there like it was 10mins and 3 hours like it was 30mins! We finally have a decent gun shop in town that I like, but it is a much smaller local deal and they don't really stand a chance of getting much bigger any time soon.

Anyway, don't worry about the glock thing I think they are developing an ointment for that... Just kidding to each their own I don't hate glocks. I just love pokin' fun at anyone who loves 'em!

I shot my first Ed Brown 1911 today. I think I have been converted! LOL!!! I still love my Glock 27 (great carry gun) but the Ed Brown made my Glock look like a little girl...

LOL! THAT IS GREAT!!! I was right than I thought. Now I really have to suggest just trying an XD. If you convert to that as well I would just about pass out!

great sights and an after market barrel.

Before you die, you need to have at least one custom 45 ACP, problem is you will be spending on the high side of $1600-$2200 depending on what you have done.

I have a first generation Kimber that I had the barrel properly fitted, with a briley bushing, wilson trigger parts, oversize mag well, and bullets touch at 25 yds.

One was not good enough, so I had another done...Les Baer slide and barrel, wilson trigger, over size mag well and mag release..this is a 50 yd gun and can hit an 8" gong at 100 yds about every shot from the rest.

ONe thing that you have to give the glocks credit for, they go boom everytime, the 45 APC glocks seem to be more accurate than the 40's...maybe it's just me.

That's because Glocks are for girls.

When I want to get in touch with my feminine side, which isn't too often, I shoot a Glock and the feeling passes.

I've been carrying glocks on duty for over 15 years and been a glock amorer that long too. I cried when I couldn't carry a sig anymore. Yes glocks are for girls.

I don't mean girls as in not men, I mean girls as in not able to put in training time and learn how to use a metal gun with a saftey or other lever on the side of it.

I would agree that's a pretty bold statement. I do like 1911's, but I love my 10mm, and my hot handloads. It isn't the hardest-to-handle thing I have ever shot, but it isn't for most girls. Maybe all the girls he knows are really butch?

My buddies both carry Glocks. I have a Sig and love it. Glocks are ok, they carry about the same type of following as Matthews Bows...

Years ago, I got into shooting Glock competitions through the GSSF program (used to shoot nine each year in different states) and owned a total of eight during that time in various calibers and configurations...They are a dependable weapon and 'reasonably' accurate....

Now, most of my handguns are in the 1911 configuration, or the polymer framed models, such as the Walther P-99 and the SigPro...More accurate and just as dependable..I only have one Glock left and it's an early 1986 model with a five digit serial number..

I will admit that the Glocks don't require continual training to be reasonably proficient, but, IMHO, they are not the "perfect" sidearm that a lot of people claim..My Kimber and Para-Ordnance is much more accurate, as is my Walther and SigPro...My Kimber and Para are both 10mms, the Walther a .40 and the SigPro is a 9mm and I would grab any of them before the Glock..

I think theres a reason theres such a following. I didnt like a glock until I bought my G26.

You get great performance for about 500$ less than a Kimber 1911, a Sig 226, etc etc etc.

Im not trying to drive tacks with mine.

If you ever have to use a custom gun to defend yourself with I would hate to have your local police confiscate it until the investigation was over .Which is a good possibilty.

I guess I have been lucky in that my girl carry gun has yet to have a ftf with any type of ammo. I cannot say the same thing about either my kimber or custom 1911. Some of the hp ammo will not feed reliably each and every time and that is one thing I demand of my carry guns. Yes I like the feel of my 1911 better but I shoot both just as well and rely on the ugly plastic one for daily carry.

Every gun mention is prettier than a Glock and feels better in my hand but I trained with Glock and carry Glock because they work.

There is lots to miss about Az.....being a Sig guy, Glockmeister isnt one of them. The one things I miss most are.....public land, Class 3 toys and progressive gun rights.
