GM

LOL, My preveous truck was an 01 dodge 2500 cummins. The engine block had a crack in it, and from what I hear there was a lot of other cummins motors that had the same issue. These blocks were made in mexico and they didnt make the water jacket wall thick enough in their castings. Dodge nor Cummins would do anything about the Issue. Thats the last time I get anything other than a Ford! However most of the stickers Ive seen on my current Ford trucks have made in mexico on them also.

Try a Nissan have had 3, all went over 300,000,without any madjor trouble with the engine or the drive line. The paint stayed on them not like a GM pickup,no problem at the Nissan shops as you never need to go there.

Had breakfast this morning with my brother (works at the Fairfax plant--skilled trades) and we talked about the possible merging of GM with Chrysler. I said it might result in a Ranger with a Hemi /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The line-workers there have been on a 12 1/2 hour/7-day work schedule /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif....guess it makes for a good paycheck.

I may buy a mix, some GM & some Ford. Then sit on it & see what happens.

I drive a 98 Chevy K1500, wife has a 02 Saturn. Both have been great. Odds are at this time my next truck will be a Chevy, but that's not for maybe 4 or 5 years. No telling what I'll really want by then, they haven't made it yet.

Yep, ours have been paid for for a while. Don't plan on buying another until I have the cash to just buy it.

I heard somewhere that GM loses around a billion a month...that cant be good. I think their problem comes from the Unions. Paying someone 30 bucks an hour to screw in a bolt will catch up with you...
