Good all around caliber for pred. hunting...

I have a 223 Rem but I find myself using the .204 Ruger for small varmints prairie dogs and the 220 Swift for larger varmints coyotes.

If doing high volume shooting, and doing your own re-loads I would chose the 204. (My personal overall best choice)

If doing high volume shooting using factory loads then I would chose the 223.

If doing moderate shooting using factory loads then I would chose the 22-250.

You will need one of each, a 22LR, a 17HMR, either a 17. Rem or a 204 Ruger, a .223, a hot .22 (22.250,220,22-243), a .243, then a 300mag. And this is just for starters and doesn't include handguns. But if I had to start with or could only have 1, it would be a .223
