The dogs to feel sorry for are the ones in the ridiculous dog clothes who dont get to realize their genetic potential to be hunters and work as a team, as a hog dog hunter I can testify that the dog usually gets the worse end of the deal and 6 times out of 10 the hogs get away.

We run hogs up here too! Only there about 2-3 pounds and brown, white and fuzzy.

As for hunting with dogs, I've been there, done it, and do it on a regular basis. I have killed many hogs with a knife over dogs. You think its so easy, I invite you to come with us. Duane Freilino 1-541-589-1621.

Yes, they were once hunting dogs and can be easily trained to be hunting dogs again.

Doubt he would ever be a pig dog.

yes we like to take anybody who wants to go. all you have to do is let us know. took trapper todd from the board a couple weeks agohe killed a sow he has pics posted in the hunt swap. we caught a good hog tonight didnt get any good pics to post though
 
I'be never hunted with dogs, the four legged kind anyways. It doesn't fit in with the modern lifestyles people have, but that's the point of hunting, to get back to the gritty basics of living. Whether you hunt with dogs bow and arrow or do trapping, keep up the good work. You are keeping something ancient and primal alive, and you are going out and working hard for your meat.

If you don't like that then go buy a cellophane sealed pork chop and hug a tree.
 
Katie and Montana are top notch good people . I have been lucky enough to have them take me out twice , so far 2 good sows and a about 170# boar . You should see these dogs when the truck pulls up ready to go hunting. You see there dogs jumping up and down barking like"pick me pick me" . They absolutely love hunting hogs it's what they do (and the dogs like it to..

Im going to make this kinda short becouse I'm doing this on my phone and it's kind of a pain but if your not in very good shape , don't like to see blood , or if you got a old football injury that keeps you from getting it in high gear when the dogs start baying , THIS IS NOT FOR .... If the three things mentioned above are not a factor and your looking for a killer adreanaline rush , this is a must do...

Hunting is hunting - wether by bullet or gun.His point of view would be like this :

Give me a break !!No wonder the Anti -gun people have it so easy dividing the Hunters and Gun owners..This thread is exactly WHY when we have a Bay contest - we dont allow cameras and the such !! Those are some fine looking catch dogs you have right there and me myslef would like to have been there .
