if you buy an assembled BCG and are building a flat top upper you wont need but a hammer, some drift pins, the torque wrench, an armorers wrench, some masking tape, antiseize & pliers. roll pin starter punches arent necessary but they are a BIG help - especially for getting the roll pin through the gas block/tube.

putting an upper togther takes... 20-30 mins depending on how well the roll pins cooperate for you

as long as you're going to be building this is a great starter tool kit to put uppers together

trust me when i say once you build one and realize how easy it is... its a lot like Lays potato chips... nobody can eat build just one

been watching a few vids...it doesnt look to terribly hard, as long as i got youtube lol....I can def see how it could get addicting building these things...im fixing to order a WOA barrel and upper receiver to start my build. I already have my lower......gonna put a velocity 3# trigger in it....my wife will not be happy with my new found hobby lol haha

and unfortunately the next one off the assembly line may shoot the same ammo like an absolute turd. its hard to say - they may have gotten a great batch of barrels at the time too and 5 out of every 6 may shoot like that. but thats the risk you take with any lower end price point product these days.

its kind of like my 16" bushmaster ORC. with factory ammo it was ~moa or just a little over. Switch to handloads and i found a bughole load for it right out of the gate while it was bone stock.

Just an idea, but you might look at PSA. A lot of their stuff shows out of stock, but if you watch it enough you can usually snag up what you want within a reasonable amount of time. Plus their prices are great for the quality you get. Here is a PSA rifle I ordered piece by piece. I'm waiting on my triggertech trigger to come in before I can shoot it. But it looks pretty good so far. I have a few friends that have PSA rifles and they all shoot great. I've also built 2 PSA rifles for my dad, and they shoot great as well. I finally decided to do a budget rifle for myself. I wanted something for the thick nasty stuff, that I didn't mind if it got scratched and dinged. This should fit the bill perfectly.

I first got one of their blemished lowers
Then I ordered an A2 buttstock kit from them
Then I ordered one of their premium bcgs
Then I ordered one of their charging handles
Then last but not least I ordered one of their 18" 223 wylde rifle length uppers
I topped it off with a set of Burris Xtreme 30mm Rings and a Vortex Viper PST 2.5-10x44 Scope

Can't wait to get the trigger in, so I can finally shoot it.

This is my Specialized dynamics rifle in 204 ruger, but it's not a budget upper. Lol.

I had a Windham VEX SS that I shot 5 rounds that I could cover with a dime I am 76 years old and can not shot as good as I use to do. Sold it and kick my A$$ for doing so! It took me about 6 Mo before I bought me a new one this is not for sale for it shoot a liter better than the first. I also have a Arma Lite that will do the same 15A4B one likes 64 GR and the other likes 69 Gr with the same make of powder so there is sub shooters out there

Hey guys, thanx for all the input....I guess I should update everyone and let them know whats going on....

So, at first I was going to buy a rifle, then I changed my mind and said, Ill build one cheaper....well, long story short, and for now, i changed my mind again and I BOUGHT A RIFLE....IMPULSE BUY FOR SURE! BUT i HAD ALREADY DID MY HOMEWORK.....

I had intentions to build my own, with a WOA barrel and upper. I went to LGS to just buy ammo. I got ammo and looked on gun rack and low and behold, the gun Ive been reading about for weeks was on there rack and on sale!!! The Wyndham Weaponry VEX. Ive been reading for a while about this gun but never got to hold one....well, you guessed it, I asked to see it.....when I held it in my arms, love at first sight!! OMG! It was incredible feeling.........

My wife was with me and looked at me like, "Dont even think about it." It was at that moment, I knew what I had to do.....I looked at the gun store clerk and said, "Ill take it!!!!" lol haha....

My wife wasnt happy, but I sure was! So, Im going to save my lower that I have for a build in the future, and for the time being, Ill enjoy my new WW VEX.

The gun store let me put in on a laway program so that helped the pocket book a little and gave me time to sell a few things to pay for it....long story short, im really happy and cant wait to shoot that puppy!!!!

I have a dpms Oracle. At a 100 yards with my reloads I am shooting a inch and a quarter group. I am positive getting used to the trigger will tighten things a bit.
