I need a good knife for skining fox and coyote. I checked the F&T Fur Harvesters web site but not sure which knife to purchase. Need some opinions which is best for fox and coyotes.
Thanks.

I use a small scalple.A modeling knife works well also. They are very sharp, and stay sharp for a long time.

check out the housewares dept. in any of the bigger stores. for more years then i care to damit to i'v been useing drop point pareing knives from chiago (bad spelling) cutlery that have high carbon steel blades, actually any brand of high carbon works; just stay with a drop point pareing knife. you really dont want to big a blade.

i now use a utility knife from lowes/home depot.thes are lockblade type with utility blades in them.when it gets dull, just reverse the blade.when its dull replace it.cost about 7.00

Thanks guy's. I'm really like the Havalon knives, what a great idea! If you are like me you don't get around to sharpining your knife until just before you need it. I'm going to get the Piranta Tracer 22 for skining and the Pro hunter for other hunting chores.
