Good Reloading Press? Progressive or Single Stage?

If you are thinking single stage, then I would suggest you look at the Redding Big Boss II. I just picked one up and, the spent primer catch system is the best I have seen. They fall through the ram to a collection tube at the bottom of the ram. It keeps the ram clean. No mess and alot less wear over time. JMO2.

You can't go wrong with Redding. There is no one company that makes the best of everything but if I had to stick with one brand ...... it would be Redding!

I started reloading in the late 60's for a 30-06 and .357 with a RCBS Rock Chucker. Today I reload for 5 rifle calibers and 7 pistol calibers. I reload because it has become a hobby that allows me to acquire the reload I want with a savings in cost. I use the Rock Chucker as a universal press ie; decap cases or special needs. In reloading rifles I use a Redding T-7, a turret press. Another turret press I use is a Lee 4 hole for pistols although this is the only Lee product I would now recomend. I use a lot of extra steps to accomplish my loading goals but its MY hobby and after this amount of time doing it I have arrived. As I stated before Green is good for example check out the RCBS comp seating die. I use this for .224,.243 and 6.5 bullets as I had problems with flat base bullets not lining up and crushing the necks. Another go is the RCBS lock rings on dies, the lock screws accecpt a larger allen wrench and seem to not strip out as easy. They are interchangeable with most dies. Sorry for the long thread but its a HOBBY.
Jim
