Recently (last week) I moved from MN to SD. Before moving I checked online and called that AFT as to what they needed for a change of address. A lot of discrepancies if you look. I decided to send in a change of address form once I got a new address in SD. that was about 30 days or so ago.
Today I got a call from a very pleasant and patient gal from the ATF today saying that my form was wrong that I had not put the Trust name on the form but put my name. So she said she would mail it back to me so I could amend it and send it back. She said they get a bunch of them that way. She seemed very knowledgeable so I asked what was actually needed to move a suppressor from one state to another. She said technically nothing, but they really do like to know where the NFA item is. So I am moving again in 5 weeks (bought a house) she said go ahead and put that new address on the form and send it back.
I hope this will help somebody else in the future. And I was very impressed with how she answered all my questions.
