Congrats! That really is a monster for around these parts. 30 lbs is a god dog, I can't even imagine 44 lbs. Got my blood going too. I think I just decided what I'm doing on the day off this week.
i got to agree with you utdogger. i am from roy to. i always started in the middle of oct. north in colder country.i hate to waste hides. some people throw there deer, elk and fish away to.
Oh heck yeah. I always throw my fish, my deer and elk away. Just the kind of person I am.
The pelts do still have a little streak of blue on the backs. They'll put up and tan just fine though. But, waiting another 6 days until the middle of October, instead of killing them on Oct. 9, would have made all the difference, I'm sure.
DAA, long as I been hunting dawgs here, they haven't been prime until end of October at the earliest. Wish folks wouldn't get impatient and just wait till fur is good before going out, kinda ruins it for the rest of us.
Not everyone has the opportunity to go calling when coyotes are "prime". Besides, it sounds to me like none of the coyotes DAA shot will be going to waste, hence "put up" and "tan".
I don't check that one very regular Randy. I'll check it now though. A lot of times people tell me they sent something to the hotmail address and I end up never seeing it. I think some of them get automatically deleted there or something. Best addy to get me is [url=mailto:dave@rmvh.com.
That is one nice coyote DAA. No matter if you tan it or rug it that will make a nice memento of a great day out calling. From the looks of it you guys have been doing real well lately.
Are those sticks the new ones you bought from Verne Howey?
We've been here before and won't be revisiting this place.
If it is legal to hunt coyotes or anything else, then it is up to the individual to decide what he wants to do.
If you don't think it's a good idea, then don't go. It ain't any more complicated than that. If you have something of a personal nature to say to someone, take it to email.
Now Y'all have a nice day. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif
If you don't mind, how about telling a little more about Vern's sticks? There is another active post going about shooting sticks and his product hasn't been mentioned yet.
Currently using the Stoney Point collapsable sticks, but always looking for something better.
