Bought a Ruger 10/22 Sat. and ordered a GM/SS barrel for it today. Has anyone tried them? I'm told they are very accurate.
Should have a factory stock and barrel for sale soon if anyones interested. pyscodog

That was a good choice. While you might not win an unlimited benchrest competition with it, you sure won't get embarrassed with it at the local range, either.
Best value for the buck out there.

This is good to hear. Was thinking of picking my self up one as well. Certainly affordable, nice to know they perform as well.

These are all good responses. Glad to hear I have a good barrel on the way. Midway has the SS/HB with no flutes for $119. Seemed like a decent price.

I've got one of their fluted 16" barrels on my 10/22. She shoots very well. Consistent nickel sized groups at fifty yards with cheap ammo.

Bought a blued heavy sporter a couple of months ago. It's the 16" one and to me its the perfect length.did a rfc trigger job on it and ended up with sweet 2# trigger. these 1022's are a blast. have fun and i don't think you can go wrong with a GM barrel. LIMPY

i have 2, one in 17m2 and one in 22lr. they are both tack drivers.the 22lr is a running boar and capable of 3/4 in groups at 100yds with cci 40 gr subsonics.

I bought 1 for my 10/22 WMR and have been very satisfied with it. The gun shoots great, the barrel fit perfectly and was a great choice for me. Would definitely buy GM again if looking to rebarrel a 10/22.

As far as I can tell,GM is still in business. If I read correctly. GM builds rimfire barrels for E.R. Shaw. This is what I kinda picked up on RimFire Central. Talk about EXTREME, those folks take rimfire to the limits. They build 10/22's $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$!!!

They do, but if you keep poking around there, they also know how to turn them into real shooters at a cheap price, too. There are a couple guys that can rechamber and recrown the factory barrels and get them shooting as well as almost any aftermarket bull barrels (and better than some) for right around $100.
If you follow the "how-to" guides there, you could have a tack driver that looks stock without laying out much cash at all.

Or you can dump enough money into one to buy a couple nice ARs, easily.

Knight's does use Green Mountain barrels. I'm not sure they used them on every rifle they ever made, but the Disc Extreme uses them.

I'd suspect they all are.
