flyrod1 can you explain just how you set up using the foxpro for groundhogs volume, placxement etc. if you are really having luck calliny them out of their holes I would very much like getting my fox pro programed with the sound and try it out this spring also.
thank's smokey

Flyrod you'd better stop that /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smiliesmack.gif, and you know what I am talking about! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You'll start something we can't deal with /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif

Flyrod1 I think we need to do some more research on this subject before we rule it out! Of course once we lure them out, we still gotta hit'em.

Blowing across an empty shell case of varied calibers works also, usually the smaller openings are higher pitched.
.223 and .243 work pretty good for that rockchuck pitch and carries out there quite a ways.

Flyrod,
Nice work!
You didn't by chance shoot those rascals in a field off of Route 3 just west of Fburg, did you?

I live in Staunton, but work 1-2 days per week in the Fburg area. There's one field in particular south of Rt 3 that is just full of dirt pigs.
Also seen a big coyote over there this past winter.

I have called 4 or 5 out of their holes with the groundhog distress, they would not come toward the sound but did come out of their hole here in Eastern KY.
